Read Remarks

I want to greet all of you in the precious and matchless name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

OUR MISSION

To proclaim to our community the everlasting gospel in the context of the three angels’ messages of Revelation 14: 6—12, leading them to accept Jesus Christ   as their personal Savior, uniting with His church, nurturing and preparing for His soon return.

OUR VISION

We are committed to the growth of every person into a ministry of Jesus Christ by helping them to discover their God-given gifts, providing the necessary training and support, encouraging them to carry out the mission within the values of the church.

OUR VALUES

  • True worship of our Creator-God occurs through fellowship, inspiration, education, singing, praying and studying the Bible together.
  • Everyone has God-given spiritual gifts and has an opportunity and a responsibility to actively use their gifts.
  • Witnessing and service to others represents the character of Jesus Christ.
  • We grow closer to Jesus Christ when time is devoted to developing our personal relationship with Him both individually and with each other.
  • We love everyone: our members, our guests, those we serve, those we have not met.
  • We value God’s Sabbath and keep it holy.
  • We recognize that everything comes from God and return to Him a faithful tithe and offerings of gratitude for His blessings.

  OUR TIMES

The signs of the end are rapid and there is no doubt that we are living in the last days of this earth’s history. Christ is soon to come and we must all make earnest effort to get ourselves ready before His glorious appearing in the clouds of Heaven is made a present reality at last.

The messenger of the Lord, Mrs. Ellen G. White  wrote,

“The terrible reports we hear of murders and robberies, of railway accidents and deeds of violence, tell the story that the end of all things is at hand. Now, just now, we need to be preparing for the Lord’s second coming.”–Letter 308, 1907 (Last Day Events, p. 23).

“The nations are in unrest. Times of perplexity are upon us. Men’s hearts are failing them for fear of the things that are coming upon the earth. But those who believe in God will hear His voice amid the storm, saying, “It is I; be not afraid.”–Signs of the Times, Oct. 9, 1901.

I and my fellow-officers of the Bangalore Metro Conference,  and the department directors, and all the pastoral force of our great field seek your continual prayers and we try our best to do everything for God’s glory. We want to be filled by His Spirit and guided by His presence and faithfully complete the task assigned to us by the Lord.

Maranatha! The Lord is coming soon!

Executive Secretary

Pr. James Kennedy

Read Remarks

A secretary is a minister, administrator, servant-leader, record-keeper, guardian of policy, and serves as a communicator in the organization.

Membership in the Seventh-day Adventist Church is not just a matter of church statistics, which the secretary maintains, more importantly, it is a witness to one’s rejection of the old life of sin and the joyful embrace of Jesus as Lord and Savior. In this new relationship salvation is guaranteed and the Holy Spirit becomes one’s constant companion.

“The earth is the LORD’S, and the fullness” (Psalm 24:1). And the Lord of the earth has given us places to posses for His worship and glory. Representing the India Financial Association (IFA) of Seventh-day Adventists my office ensures that all the property and its papers are intact, and we are constantly updating whatever needs our attention.

WHAT WE DO

Associated with the President and Treasurer as an Executive Officer, the Executive Secretary besides performing general administrative responsibilities assists the President in caring for the Churches in our Conference.

This role ensures that the Church practices good governance as well as liaising with higher Seventh-day Adventist organizations.

OUR GOALS

  • To spread the gospel to our community.
  • To actively involve every member in the ministry of the church.
  • To have happy, active members.
  • To make Jesus Christ the center of our lives.
  • To have daily personal Bible study.
  • To live exemplary lives.
  • To witness for Christ at every opportunity.
  • To befriend, support and nurture every member and guest.
  • To embrace with love and warmth all who come into our church.
  • To develop our God-given talents for His service.

PRESS TOGETHER

We encourage all our members to be faithful to God and His church and support the organization in its work of fulfilling the gospel commission. Let us press together in these challenging times. Yes, difficulties and challenges are there in every organization. The pen of inspiration counsels us on this.

“But although these difficulties exist, will it abolish them to put an end to organization? I am sure that the Lord has wrought in the organization that has been perfected, and the fact that there are discouraging features in the work should not be thought a sufficient reason for disorganization. Much light was given to us in reference to the organization of churches, and yet we had a hard battle to fight in perfecting organization; but the victory was gained at last, and now shall the church be disorganized because of indifference, formality, and pride? Shall we go back to disorder because unconsecrated members of the church have placed upon the work the mold of man, and sought to fashion the church to meet a popular standard?”  {Ellen G. White, Christian Education, p. 135}

May God bless the work of the Bangalore Metro Conference!

Treasurer

Mr. Pradeep Suranjan

Read Remarks

Treasury is committed to promoting the highest levels of accountability and transparency, playing an essential role in successfully fulfilling its mission as it puts the organization’s resources to best use.

At its heart, treasury is about building trust by supporting people, departments and institutions. It upholds the principles of good stewardship, carefully administering resources and facilitating activities around the territory by providing financial support with balance, prudence and grace.

We are stewards of what God has given us. He owns it, we use it.

Finances are an integral part of the ministry of the laity. Local church finances are handled by members of the congregation elected to the treasury department. The work of the treasury department of the Conference includes: receiving tithes, offerings and other income from the local churches; banking all receipts; sending a financial report to the South Central India Union, preparing annual budgets; etc.

Our members work hard and sacrifice much in order to support the mission and work of the Church. All gifts are sacred, from a 2 mites dropped in the offering plate to the faithful tithe of the laity. Our Treasury Department prayerfully safeguards and invests the funds God’s family entrusts to the mission of the church. We know the money does not come easily, and we take our responsibility to make sure that it is spent wisely very seriously.

 How We Serve:

  • Provide administrative and financial leadership to the Bangalore Metro Conference
  • Serve as a trustee and a steward of the funds it receives
  • Treasury helps churches in terms of their financial performance. We review and assess financial statements each month and guide them in financial and budgeting functions whenever needed. We also provide training for the treasurers of the churches.

 From the inspired pen

“The poor widow who cast her two mites into the Lord’s treasury, little knew what she was doing. Her example of self-sacrifice has acted and reacted upon thousands of hearts in every land and in every age. It has brought to the treasury of God gifts from the high and the low, the rich and the poor. It has helped to sustain missions, to establish hospitals, to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, heal the sick, and preach the gospel to the poor. Multitudes have been blessed through her unselfish deed.”—Ellen G. White, Testimonies, vol. 6, p. 310.
